Daily Responsibilities:

As a Class A/B CDL Delivery Driver at Star Lumber, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of building materials to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (tractor-trailer combination) to transport building materials to designated locations.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and compliance with regulations.

Load and unload building materials using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts and moffetts.

Accurate logging of delivery stops and DOT time tracking.

Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road.

Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.

Collaborate with warehouse and dispatch personnel to coordinate delivery orders efficiently.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, both for yourself and for others sharing the road

Requirements

::: {bind="html: Job.Requirements"} Valid Class A/B CDL with a clean driving record.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver, preferably with experience in the transportation of building materials.

Holds a Cat 1 interstate license.

Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment, including forklifts and moffetts.

Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork.

Physical ability to lift and carry heavy materials and perform manual labor as needed.

A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy customers.
