The Warranty Manager is responsible for leading a team to administer, warranty programs both domestically and internationally including extended programs. This role will clearly identify metrics for which to measure various warranty parameters in order to recommended improvement actions within the company. This will be an input to the Next Level Quality (NLQ) process. The Warranty Manager will have responsibilities towards strategic initiatives and programs to improve the warranty process and other processes within the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Designs and directs the work of the teams for Warranty and GenService. Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance-- recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary.

  • Evaluate continuous process improvement of existing systems from top to bottom optimizing and improving the warranty process and other processes.

  • Create and maintain warranty information, contracts and repositories as needed.

  • Create and maintain metrics for gauging warranty data, impact and cost along with departmental performance. Utilize department analytics to guide the NLQ actions/improvements.

  • Manage and expand the current extended warranties programs and required state licensing.

  • Monitor warranty audit activities to ensure customer satisfaction and dealer compliance with service policy. May be used for service channel scorecards.

  • Work closely with the Global Sourcing team on vendor financial recovery.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Associates Degree in related field OR equivalent experience

  • 5 years warranty or technical or customer service administration experience

  • 3 years leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Project Management)

  • Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills in order to handle shifting priorities and workloads

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) to document, analyze and present metric data

  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting

  • Strong organizational skills
