Job Summary

An Assembler I troubleshoots, repairs, and assembles mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. This position is located in our Warrenton, OR facility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble according to specifications.

• Master basic skills and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and / or equipment in area of expertise.

• Assist others during assembly of components in area of expertise.

• Teach other Assemblers proper techniques and procedures for mastered key subassemblies

• Complete required assembly documentation, check sheets, ECRs, MRRs and material movement paperwork

• Resolve routine questions and problems in mastered subassemblies. Refers more complex issues to Group Team Leads

• Use material handling equipment to move parts, components, and subassemblies from one work or storage area to another as required

• Perform all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area

• Assist more experienced Assemblers as assigned

• May be asked to perform team support roles to assist Supervisor

• Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities

• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• 3+ years experience with medium/heavy mechanical assembly required

• Certification to operate powered industrial trucks

• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, bills of material and electrical schematics

• Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
