Protective Industrial Products Product Sales Manager in United States

Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (PIP), a global organization headquartered in Latham, NY is a leading provider of head-to-toe PPE (Hand & Arm, Above the Neck, Workwear, Footwear and Site & Personal Safety) products to Industrial markets/channels, including industrial, automotive, construction, critical environment, food processing, aerospace, energy, and transportation.

The Product Sales Manager (PSM) reports to the Director Product Sales and drives alignment between Product Management, Sales, Direct Customers, and End-Users. The PSM partners with the Company’s Sales Team and Product Management members to build sales of the ATN product lines. This position is remote- home office based. The ideal candidate will be located in the eastern part of the United States with a strong background in above the neck protective product sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales objectives for the ATN products within assigned area of responsibility.

  • Train both internal and external sales personnel and customers.

  • Collaboratively develop sales training tools with Marketing and Product Management.

  • Champion product introductions.

  • Be an expert on both PIP’s line of ATN products and the competitive ATN landscape.

  • Identify needs for new products and/or product enhancements and communicate them to Product Management.

  • Liaise between Sales and Product Management on forecasting, budgeting, and growth initiatives.

  • Analyze & Report on product sales within the area of responsibility.

  • Adhere to and manage administration of the Company’s business policies.

  • Manage use of tools & technologies to improve sales performance.

  • Meet on an as need basis with personnel at the key distributors and end users.

  • Lead quarterly performance reporting to members of the Company’s management team.

  • Take part in sales growth, training, and ATN product review activities for the area of responsibility and manages the objectives in alignment with the Company’s values and goals.

  • Manage a sales territory of $10.0m - $30.0m.

  • Influence individual accounts up to $5.0m in ATN opportunities.

Experience and requirements:

  • BS Degree in Business, Marketing, or Management

  • Ability to travel up to 70%.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Industrial Safety sales and/or sales management

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, product management, or development of ATN products

  • Experience in managing activities to meet objectives and goals.

  • Capable of influencing internal stakeholders with and without direct authority.

  • Good oral and written skills with ability to communicate to all organizational levels.
