Part-Time Custodian

Our company is currently accepting applications for a part-time day shift janitor. As an employee at Romanow Building Services, you will enjoy a positive and stress-free environment.  

Our ideal candidate will live in or near Traverse City and have reliable transportation as you will be travelling to the following cities: Traverse City, Williamsburg, Elk Rapids, Beulah, Frankfort, Lake Leelanau, and Northport. Travel will average 200 miles per week. 

This position is 24 hours a week with a flexible day time schedule, pay is $17.00/hour. 

We need reliable, dependable, and detail-orientated workers. The custodian will perform a variety of cleaning duties and maintenance tasks for our customers. Individuals must be physically capable of bending, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing/pulling, lifting, etc.

*Requirements:  *

·         At least 18 years of age with valid driver's license

·         Excellent attendance & reliable transportation

·         Pass a background check and reference check.

·         Pass motor vehicle report check.

·         Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.

·         Strong communication skills

·         Be positive and enthusiastic. 

·         Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

·         Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain a healthy and clean environment using approved methods, chemicals & tools.
• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash
• Operate floor equipment such as vacuums.
• General cleaning of floors, furniture, windows, windowsills, and walls
• Stocking and cleaning of restrooms, break rooms & janitor closets

• Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
