The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Summary:

  • As the Vice President of a department within MUFG Bank Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of three areas: Static Data Management, Delivery of Client Statements, and Data Custodian. Reporting directly to the Director, you will support in leading team with change, a team responsible for maintaining accurate static data, timely delivery of client statements, and upholding the highest standards of data integrity and security. Have a sense of responsibility, ownership, and urgency in all things you do. Be able to document step-by-step procedures and processes for all to understand. Ability to work with all levels of the organization across all divisions. Support department with all ad hoc projects, initiatives, internal and external audits, exams and compliance testing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Static Data Management:
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of static data across various banking systems and platforms.

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of static data records. Ownership and responsibility for all key data elements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes related to static data creation, validation, and updates.

  • Be able to learn and understand business processes and procedures quickly and understand the big picture as well as the smallest details.

  • Monitor industry best practices and regulatory requirements (particularly Dodd Frank Act and Anti Money Laundering – Travel Rule) to continuously improve static data management processes. Work and build relationships with Compliance.

  1. Delivery of Client Statements:
  • Ensure the timely delivery and distribution of client statements, mitigating information leakage by introducing automation. Ensure Service Level Agreements are met as well as automated.

  • Develop and maintain robust procedures to ensure the secure and confidential delivery of client statements through various channels.

  • Support the team as you and they work closely with technology and customer service teams to address any gaps and issues related to statement delivery and enhance the overall client experience.

  • Lead the implementation, automation, and digitization initiatives to improve statement delivery efficiency while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

  1. Data Custodian:
  • Serve as support to the Custodian team, identifying and escalating gaps across processes.

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to safeguard the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive financial data.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to ensure adherence to data management regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in financial services operations and data governance.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced Excel knowledge, including formulas like index, match, xlookup.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $101K - $136K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
