Anticipated Vacancy

Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a Grant Manager for agreements awarded under the Mitigation (MIT) programs.

  • Act as subject matter expert providing guidance across Mitigation programs for various processes and deliverables including scope of work creation, QPR reporting, and ensuring compliance with all federal guidelines during life of subrecipient process.

  • Serves as a lead for team assignments, process improvements, and special projects; fosters teamwork; and participates in the identification of program improvements for the MIT program.

  • Acts as a liaison between DEO and consulting firm.

  • Conducts desktop and onsite monitoring on activities and expenditures of assigned projects to ensure compliance with state guidelines and contract requirements.

  • Works to standardize processes by creating various document templates.

  • Serves as member of review process for subrecipient reimbursements to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Producing high volume and high-quality work within compressed timeframes.

  • Identifying program risks and resolving program issues.

  • Supporting Grant Managers who will act as liaison between DEO and subrecipients.

  • Providing support for bureau initiatives as needed in partnership with Leadership.

  • Researching and analyzing documents and policies to inform program decision making.

  • Draft program level reports, documents, and presentations for Leadership within Microsoft Office Programs.

  • Monitor application and implementation of appropriate rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with financial and administrative requirements.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage activities with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

  • Providing administrative support as needed.

  • Providing technical assistance to subrecipients as needed.

  • Analyze and track fiscal records.

  • Other duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge in developing, administering, and monitoring State and or Federal grants and contracts.

  • Working knowledge in administering Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).

  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and ability to operate computer software with a high level of efficiency.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage housing program activities with other partners.

  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility and handle multiple tasks.

  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment while representing the Housing Program’s best interest.

  • Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, customer service, or ethics.

  • Ability to conduct research and provide reports and analyses as required.

  • Ability to interpret statutes, administrative rules, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.

Pay: $50,547.60 Annually

The Work You Will Do: This position serves as a Government Operations Consultant III, Grant Manager within the Division of Community Development, Office of Long-Term Resiliency (OLTR) Business and Economic Recovery. Serves as a grant manager for agreements awarded under the Mitigation programs.
