Carlile Transportation Hybrid Remote Accounts Receivable Associate ($21.18 - $32.82 DOE) in Tacoma, Washington

Description

This position is on a Hybrid Remote schedule with two allotted work-from-home days (Monday & Friday) and the remainder of the week in the office.

Essential Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service in the credit department.

  • Train, lead, or mentor Credit Associate I.

  • Post funds electronically and record transactions.

  • Maintain account records and resolve delinquencies.

  • Initiate collections and secure payments.

  • Audit contracts and resolve discrepancies.

  • Evaluate and approve new customer credit terms.

  • Engage with third-party payors for timely payments.

  • Resolve invoice disputes and payment issues.

  • Accurately document dispute contacts.

  • Collaborate with the Credit Manager on collections and bankruptcies.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of previous work experience in credit or related field

  • Associate degree in accounting or related discipline preferred.

  • A combination of work-related experience and/or education may be substituted.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Working knowledge of computer-based accounting systems

  • Proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure while meeting deadlines

  • Demonstrated attention to detail ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Must work independently, be self-motivated, be a problem solver and goal-oriented, and work in a team environment.

  • Must prioritize daily tasks and assignments.

  • Must adapt to change positively and constructively.

  • Must work well and communicate consistently with internal departments, vendors, and customers.

  • Must have an enthusiastic and positive work attitude with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and appearance.
