Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Associate - Box Line. The core hours are Friday through Sunday from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. The rate for this position is $15.90 - $20.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do:

The incumbent will serve as an essential element of the Fabrication team by providing functional expertise and support in all areas of NEMA including but not limited to assembly, expediting, and lead person.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Complete individual components to contribute towards the assembly of the finished product.

• Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. Ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process. Perform quality checks as instructed.

• Receive and carry out work assignments from management and internal customers to fulfill customer orders on time. Perform assigned functions from oral / written instructions, drawings, travel documents, DMM system, manufacturing information, and hand-drawn layout requests. Closely follow established procedures for completing assigned functions.

• Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment safely and competently. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.

• Ensure all safety and industrial hygiene requirements are maintained.

• Work from manufacturing information such as Kanban cards, MI’s, requisitions, and oral or written instructions. Use of tape measures required.

• Work with members of a team to effectively complete work assignments. Receive information from team members regarding customer needs and product requirements and utilize this information to perform one’s function.

• Perform Lean Initiatives.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance when required to ensure peak performance of all manufacturing equipment and special assignments and/or projects as assigned.

• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the production process.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must live within a 50-mile radius of the Sumter facility, no relocation benefits are offered.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in assembly operation, sheet metal fabrication, or assembly requiring drawings or diagrams.

• 1 year of manufacturing, box line, and/or paint line experience.

• Ability to operate fork trucks, hand trucks, hand carts, hand tools, banding machines, scales, safety equipment, etc.
