JOB REQUIREMENTS: Community Horizons is assisting with recruitment for a person in the Stevens Point area. This opportunity would be great for someone with a big heart and a genuine interest in helping others and some experience with individuals on the Autism spectrum. In this role, you will work with the individual in his home to assist with completing day to day tasks. This position of part of the self-directed supports program, in which you will work directly for the individual/family. This position is hired directly by the member and not through an agency. Hours available: 9:30am 1:30pm, Sunday Thursday. Wage: \$12.60/hour Tasks may include, but are not limited to: - Completing blood sugar checks (equipment is on site, no insulin administration required) - Providing supervision/companion care to a young man on the Autism spectrum and engage in socialization - Assisting with meal preparation tasks and light cleaning - Helping to pass meds (which are monitored/set out by another person) - Some assistance with personal cares (e.g. toileting) will be required Who we\'re looking for: - Someone who is reliable, dependable, and friendly - An individual with some experience with persons on the Autism spectrum is preferred - An empathetic, compassionate support person who wants to make a difference - An acceptable background check - Great communication skills and ability to take direction Want to learn more about what\'s available?
