VCA North Division Animal Medical Center is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team in beautiful Spokane, Washington!

Our AAHA-accredited hospital practices high-quality medicine and we offer a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled technicians, assistants, and doctors.

In this position, you will be supporting our Technician and Doctor team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. You must have a strong desire to learn and participate in hospital-paid Continuing Education events designed to improve your skills. We value animal care, teamwork, and client service.

Snapshot of the Role: Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Veterinary Technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

• Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff

• Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients

• Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked

• Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations

• Keep accurate records and logs

• Sterilize equipment

• Observing patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staff
