Micron Technology, Inc. Principal SSD Firmware Test Engineer in San Jose, California

Develop white-box oriented testing methods to verify and validate firmware product. Develop automated testing procedures and infrastructure to improve coverage and efficiency. Create test plans and strategies to improve firmware quality and test coverage. Collaborate between cross functional teams and create robust strategy Gray-box testing. Perform accurate failure analysis and root cause issues in the firmware code, thereby identifying potential bugs which may impact customer qualification. Interpret the industry standard storage protocols accurately and plan Whitebox validation scenarios on the same. Provide expert insights on enforcing storage protocols and firmware features to cross-domain and cross-functional teams. Mentor newly hired candidates, provide trainings based on subject matter expertise in NVMe / PCIe / hardware interfacing firmware related feature validation.

Employer will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related field and 24 months of experience in job offered or in a Firmware Test Engineer-related occupation.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology, Inc. estimates it could pay for this full-time position is $175,032 - $230,000 per Year. For additional pay & benefits information, please refer to the requisition at Micron.com/careers.
