Job Description Summary
Within the L5 Component Repair Insourcing Program, the Senior Engineering Manager – Component Repair will lead a global team of Repair Engineers, responsible for repair commodities for AAJV shops. Repair engineers will own knowledge of one or more repair commodities. Repair engineers will support process engineers in implementation of such repairs as part shop routings/procedures.
Repair engineer will be responsible of execution of repair processes when qualified within the Aero Alliance Shop Network, with a particular focus to Avenza (Italy) and Port Klang (Malaysia).
The Senior Engineering Manager – Component Repair will report to the Project Director, and she/he will work in close collaboration with the Senior Engineering Manager – Special Processes.

Essential Responsibilities
Lead, coach and inspire a global team of experts and young engineers, managing their skills growth within Technical Career Path.
Jobs/tasks assignation to team members, balancing team workload and technical skill matrix. His/her team will be responsible for:
Being responsible of introduction of repair commodities /special processes in AAJV shop
Supporting roll-out and industrialization of new repair technologies/equipment at site with support of process engineering, project manager and shop operation team
Cooperation with process engineer for a successful execution of a component repair by supporting the use of all the relevant repair technologies.
Cooperation with shop operations and process Eng departments to define CTQs and deviations for LM component repair processes.
Usage of commodity expertise, from design to execution, to support shop NCR process
Development Work Instruction, Standard Repair Routers YoY and also the document maintenance/modification, working in cooperation of the broader engineering team
Identification of opportunities for repair productivity enhancements, cost reduction and new processes development
As part of AAJV Service Shop Technical team, he/she will be the technical owner of the component repair in production; this will include technical evaluation of Inspection results, definition of the repair scope of work and Departure Record emission
Support P&E and special tools purchasing pec redaction based on AEO manual/repair document requirement
In addition to the above management tasks, She/He will be direct owner of define and structure the Repair Engineering activities linked with production phase, designing processes and tools including interactions with existing ones for L4 activities.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
Significant and proven experience with Aero Engines Overhaul/Engineering or Special Process Industrialization.
Previous experience as manager/team leader with experience in managing global teams.
Capability and experience to work with local and remote resources, merging people from different locations as needed to close complex projects in due time.
Ability to work in a very dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to synthesize complex technical information
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Be a Solution-oriented problem solver
Previous knowledge/experience of those engines would be a plus: LM2500, LM6000, LM9000, CF6-6, CF6-80, GE90-115B.
Fluency in English and Italian, in writing and speaking.
Extensive experience within GE / BH repair business
Capability to prioritize business requirements and to efficiently manage assigned budgets.
