Fann Contracting, Inc. Class A or B CDL Truck Driver in Prescott, Arizona

Fann Contracting, Inc. - Northern Arizona’s leading heavy-civil and heavy-highway contractor - is now hiring throughout Arizona for Professional Class A or B CDL Drivers to join our team! Hourly pay depends upon experience but will range between $24.40 to $30.50, Travel pay of $63 to $75 per day is also available for most assignments.

Our family-owned 62-year company works throughout the state of Arizona and specializes in mass excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, asphalt hot plant production, trucking operations and much more. Our projects include public and private entities including ADOT, FHWA, BIA, city and county municipalities, private residential and commercial developments.

These positions require a valid and current Class 'A' or 'B' driver's license, tank endorsement preferred. Please no suspensions or DUI within the previous 4 years. Construction hauling experience with Belly Dump, 10 and 12-wheel end dump and water truck is preferred but we will train the right candidates. Statewide travel is typical within Arizona - travel pay of $63 to $75 per day applies to most assignments. Some minor labor work is required.

General/Basic responsibilities include:

  • SAFELY hauling asphalt, rock and other aggregates for paving and other projects in Arizona

  • Should be able to drive both standard or automatic transmissions

  • Occasionally lifting/moving heavy objects and climbing to check load(s) and tarps

  • Carrying your own small tool kit to adjust brakes, change bulbs, attach mud flaps, etc.

  • Completing a thorough pre-trip and post-trip using Electronic Logs and/or timecards.

  • Qualified candidates may occasionally operate heavy equipment (loading your own truck etc.)

  • Be physically qualified for a driving position in accordance with FMCSA regulations

  • Have a current copy of your Medical Long Form

  • Provide us with a recent/current 3-year MVR from the state you are/were licensed in for those 3 years. (for multiple please provide an MVR from all states)

  • Complete a pre-employment FMCSA DOT Drug Screen (at our expense).

  • Check their driving record on the Compliance, Safety and Accountability (CSA) website: https://csa.fmcsa.dot.gov

The pay range will depend upon the type of license, experience and endorsements you hold but will typically range from $24.40 to $28.75 per hour (extremely versatile and experienced drivers with heavy equipment operator/heavy transport knowledge may qualify for wages up to $31.50 per hour). Daily subsistence (TRAVEL PAY) of $63 to $75 may also be available for jobs outside the Prescott area - ask for details.
