JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The college of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering for the 2024-2025 academic year. This is a full-time, nine-month position with anticipated August 2024 start date. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have a demonstrated competency teaching multiple existing and the capacity to develop and teach courses within their area of expertise What You\'ll Need to Succeed: Ph.D. in computer science, software engineering, or related field. An ABD (all but dissertation), if hired, will be contractually obligated to have earned their Ph.D. by the start date. Minimum experience of one semester teaching computer science or software engineering at the college level as an instructor or a teaching assistant. Applicants must have evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education in an engineering environment and a willingness to collaborate with both students and faculty. Ability to teach a variety of Computer Science and Software Engineering courses. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. In collaboration with our sister UW institutions, we also offer an online M.S. in Cybersecurity and an online B.S. in Applied Computing.
