JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking a full-time Textbook Center Manager. This position will function as the Administrative Manager of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Textbook Center with the primary goal of distribution and collection of course textbooks, ancillary material and digital resources to all enrolled students for every instructional term. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing the daily operations of the Textbook Center, customer service, student account/information management, purchasing, accounting, inventory management, shipping, and staff management. The Textbook Center Manager reports to the Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Salary range of \$50,000 - \$55,000 per year commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Retail Operations Management Oversee and provide exceptional customer service for the Textbook Center including student staff management and customer issue resolution. Respond to faculty and student needs by providing information, resources, and consultations regarding textbooks and textbook acquisitions. Supervise and direct daily operations of staff within a retail facility to adhere to established standards. Will exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees. Manage customer accounts and revenue accounting to ensure accurate and timely processing and communication. This includes monitoring cash handling equipment and related functions. Plan, implement, execute, and evaluate existing strategies and objectives for the Textbook Center and make recommendations to unit leadership for program or function enhancement. Inventory Management Utilize campus student information system (PASS) to complete monitor textbook usage and course enrollments, process fee waivers, provide messaging to students, and other tasks.
