Material Handlers: 60 Temporary, Full Time Positions (06/30/24-04/01/25) in Phoenix, AZ. Employer will offer 40 hours per week with 2 shifts available: Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:00pm (40 hours) or 2:00pm-10:00pm (40 hours). Basic rate of pay is \$19.33/hr and any overtime offered will be paid at least \$29.00 an hour; Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage rate or bonus to any worker, in its sole discretion, based on performance, skill, tenure or experience. Baseline hours offered is 40 hours; additional hours may be offered. Local bus passes for local transportation are provided free of charge. After the successful completion of 90 days, the following benefits are offered: a) accrue up to 40 hours of sick leave; b) medical dental, and vision insurance is offered; c) 401K; d) Six paid holidays are offered throughout the year; e) monthly group lunch outing; No education required. One week paid on-the-job training provided. Employer uses a single workweek for computing wages due and workers are paid each week. Employer will make all deductions from a workers paycheck required by law. Employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker.

If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$15.88 per day during the travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts. The employer will provide workers at no charge all the tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

Material Handlers essential functions: 1. Performs lifting, feeding, and stacking of lumber to support the scragg and band saw operations. 2. Performs lifting and feeding lumber into an auto pallet assembly machine. 3. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor and/or Mill manager. 4. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 5. Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: Able to lift 50 lbs, able to work standing on your feet for 8+ hours a day, able and willing to work in an outdoor environment. 6. Must be able to bend and lift for 8+ hours a day. 7. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
