IT Principal Developer

The IT Principal Developer is responsible for leading analysis, programming, and configuration of end user applications or systems software including both systems analysis and programming or configuration of packaged products created by third parties. While working as a thought leader within the department, this job recommends operational strategies and plans that have direct impact on results. This role also influences business decisions made by leadership.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develops strategy and roadmap for delivering innovation and automation while analyzing detailed business requirements and specifications for the application.

  • Configures internally developed applications and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications using programming, scripting, and database languages.

  • Plans application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements.

  • Maintains relationships with clients while communicating with IT and business management and monitors prompt response and support for technical issues.

  • Receives activity and progress reports regarding applications systems analysis and programming sections.

  • Leads process improvements, cost reduction efforts, tool development to improve the software development and support process in a way that reduces complexity, improves service, and reduces cost.

  • Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on Technical Analyst – strong functional domain knowledge, solid Actimize solution implementation experience and strong data skills (SQL and Actimize Data know-how)

  • Proficient in utilizing AML systems, including data mapping, profiling, system tuning and supporting internal and external Audits;

  • Expertise in deploying AML systems, specializing in the NICE Actimize platform, encompassing SAM, CDD, WL-X, IFM-X, and ActOne solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with NICE Actimize platform components, such as Visual Modeler, AVA Risk Case Manager, and ActOne Plugin customization

  • Experience in Actimize environment setup and configuration, including server setup, installation, and upgrades

  • Experience consulting within the financial crime’s domain, particularly in regulatory environments

  • Experience in leading key workstreams within engagements, staying abreast of current trends, and contributing to the development of knowledge capital

  • Proficiency in upgrading the Actimize platform

  • Experience performing comprehensive analysis of data requirements, translating business objectives into precise technical data mapping specifications.

  • Experience evaluating and assessing various data sources, formats, and structures for optimal integration and mapping strategies.

  • Expertise developing comprehensive data mapping documentation, encompassing diagrams, data flows and transformation logic.

Pay Range $126,800 to $191,000
