Position Summary

Your job in the department is to . . .

Assist office staff by performing clerical duties to process County property taxes.

Processing mail, payments, and maintaining departmental records.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

JOB FUNCTIONS

Process Daily Mail

· Pick up mail once daily from the mail room

· Pick up mail from multiple drop boxes, multiple times daily

· Open and sort mail into batches for the electronic payment processor

· Process returned mail from US Postal Service with yellow stickers

Process Tax Payments

· Perform cashiering duties at the front counter or from mail payments

· Payments consist of checks, electronic or cash

· Provide tax receipts or print copies of property tax statements as requested

· Process and complete short card process as needed

Customer Service Public Assistance

· Answer incoming calls

· Assist customers with online portal instructions

Maintain Department Records

· Assist the tax department with other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Level

High School Diploma / GED

Minimum Experience Level

One - Three years
