Director, Channel Strategy Lead is a critical part of the team responsible for managing performance and development of Mondelēz’s Food and Mass Channels. You will drive the creation of a multiyear commercial plan to drive long term growth aligned to Mondelēz US 2030 ambition. You will also play a key role in helping to drive Mondelēz growth ambition with top Customers within the channel.

You will develop insights-backed, multi-year plans, and lead integrated commercial workstreams that deliver on Channel revenue and profit forecasts, category growth, and share objectives.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Support development of Food and Mass 3-year strategy and define the comprehensive path to get there

  • Co-create recommendations to drive revenue, profit, and share by applying category management principles and business analytic best practices to identify key Channel/Category drivers

  • Identify and leverage consistent data sets and methodologies; and simplify findings into clear takeaways

  • Develop standard operating procedures and analytical best practices that can be scaled to the rest of the Food and Mass Channel

  • Collaborate with the Customer Teams to develop multi-year strategies and key supporting tactics

  • Analyze performance and provide recommendations for improved action plans based on KPIs and key customer/shopper/consumer insights

  • Play point on key opportunity workstreams to ensure they are progressing as planned and are linked to 2024+ financial planning and long-term capacity planning processes

  • Own Strategy Plan generation for the channel including leading situation assessment across Must Win Customers

  • Implement and execute joint value creation planning approach. Align resources to assist CBTs with multi-year planning initiatives

  • Standardized approach and tools to assist with joint business plans and customer negotiations

  • Develop channel environmental, social, and governance (ESG) understanding and customer amplification and impact planning

  • Partner with ecommerce to help drive integration and standardization across channel

  • Lead grocery routines and communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum 8+ years' experience; with time in a commercial role

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities: ability to connect the dots across workstreams, priorities, and different sets of information

  • Strong business and commercial acumen: ability to understand the business, P&L management, deployment of Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principals, end-to-end commercial management

  • Proficiency in forecasting demand and revenue

  • Analytic & creative thinking prowess: Fluency in data (Nielsen/IRI) to fuel the analytical (e.g., business performance) and the strategic (e.g., storytelling), and speak to it with ease

  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the agility and know-how to navigate the organization across functions and levels

  • Autonomous, proactive, organized leader who gets things done despite ambiguity or adversity

  • Demonstrated track record of building customer plans and leading high-performing cross functional teams that drive business results

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $136,200 to $272,400; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and is eligible to participate in the Company's annual equity program.
