Chippewa County Deputy Auditor/Treasurer-Payroll/Accountant in Montevideo, Minnesota

Chippewa County is currently seeking a Deputy Auditor/Treasurer-Payroll/Accounting who would be responsible to manage the county's employee compensation and benefit deductions, as well as provide assistance with daily accounting tasks. This position is offered at a range of $22.44 - $31.05 per hour. Payroll and Benefits Administration: Processes transactions related to the county's employee benefit plans/Coordinates with Human Resource on annual employee open enrollment meetings with employees, brokers, and insurance vendors/Functions as liaison between third party administrators and benefit vendors in relation with benefit deductions/billings. Accounting: Maintains and operates cash receipts system and transfers to the IFS system/Maintains and operates accounts payable system/Receives, organizes, verifies and processes warrants/Prepares accounts payable listing for County Board approval and prepares invoices and warrants for payment. Ancillary Duties: Ensures compliance and consistency of employee handbook, personnel policies, and collective bargaining agreements/Back-up to HR Generalist when needed for employee orientation, benefit administration, or related issues/Assists in election administration and tax collections.
