Position : Master Data Specialist

General Purpose:

This position is an individual contributor role responsible for the creation and maintenance of master data. Coordinates day-to-day additions and changes for the master data functions with the goal of ensuring master data integrity and efficient master data entry processes. Performs a variety of data entry duties and setup analysis according to established guidelines. Areas of responsibility include, but not limited to item, customer, vendor, and code setup/changes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process all additions/deletions/changes made to the master data files and performs regular data cleansing to ensure accuracy.

  • Set up new and modify existing internal business data within various systems such as DMS, JDEdwards, and eRMS.

  • Review and analyze form data to ensure compliance with audit guidelines prior to set-up.

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis related to master data files and collaborate with other departments to identify data errors and ensure data integrity in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting practices.

  • Create and establish new master data processes as needed.

  • Consistently review existing processes for areas of improvement.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and 1-3 years of customer service, accounting, or business admin experience

  • Or 2 year Associate’s degree in Accounting, plus 3-5 years’ customer service, accounting, or business admin experience

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and forward-thinking skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work well with team members within department and cross-functionally

  • Knowledge of dairy industry, including production processes, products and consumer market preferred

  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Note: over 50% of work flow and task responsibilities are performed in Microsoft Excel)

  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a variety of information systems, databases and customer web-based systems such DMS, JDEdwards, eRMS,

  • Strong organizational and follow up skills

  • Professional oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data

  • Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
