JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20298 JOB DETAILS: Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Computer Networking & Information Technology (CNIT) at the Assistant Professor level with an anticipated start date of August 19th, 2024. We are seeking a team member that is passionate and committed to promoting the development of an equitable and inclusive environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, especially those supporting the BS CNIT and BS Cybersecurity programs. Curriculum development; research and scholarly activity; academic advisement; maintain partnerships with industry; course and program assessment of student learning in collaboration with faculty and staff; and service to the department and the university are expected along with other duties as assigned by the department chair. Commitment to teaching undergraduate CNIT/Cybersecurity courses. Highly Desired/Preferred Evidence of teaching ability at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, in-person and/or online. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively. Demonstrated knowledge or technical experience related to IT and cybersecurity. Demonstrated skills such as Network Programmability & Automation and Firewall technologies (e.g. Palo Alto). Current industry-recognized certification(s) within the field of IT and cybersecurity, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification and Cisco Certified Instructor. Record of research publication(s) in information technology and cybersecurity.
