JOB SUMMARY

Cornerstone Hospitality is a boutique hotel development and management firm, based in Williamsburg, Virginia, that operates both branded and independent boutique hotels throughout Virginia as well as Delaware, Indiana, Louisiana, and North Carolina. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate leader to serve as General Manager for the Craddock Terry Hotel in Downtown Lynchburg, Virginia.

Once a turn-of-the-century shoe factory, Craddock Terry now culminates creative adaptive reuse of existing historic architecture into a modern boutique hotel. A Top 10 member of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, the Craddock Terry Hotel includes 44 eclectic guest rooms and suites, 4,000 square-feet of meeting and event space. The property features two onsite restaurants that are Ranked #1 and #2 on Tripadvisor for BEST restaurants in Lynchburg. Shoemakers American Grille specializes in steaks and seafood with exquisite fine dining service and atmosphere. Waterstone Pizza provides a more relaxed urban atmosphere serving hand-tossed, fire-roasted pizzas and a variety of salads, sandwiches, and pastas. The property will be expanding its footprint to include additional guest rooms, restaurant concepts and outdoor experiential dining spaces.

Day-to-day duties will include:

• Oversight of the hotel, restaurants, and sales operations to include but are not limited to the hotel, restaurants, meeting and event space, and outdoor areas.

• Oversight and leadership of all operating departments, department leadership and teams.

• Development and implementation of sales programs, guest experience programs, restaurant programs and special events.

• Budget development and management of the F&B Division; Hotel Division and any other revenue source within the property.

• Management of all daily tasks, financial reporting, weekly reporting, and ensuring all accounting controls are in place and adhered to.

• Development and growth of team members, implementation of training programs that aid in the development and cross-training of all team members.

• Development of all asset management programs including CAPEX plans, maintenance, and PM programs.

• Manage all employees; direct, review, resolve employee related issues; administer disciplinary actions.

• Manage all sales efforts, social media sites, travel site reviews and website.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• The successful candidate must have full-service hotel experience; strong food and beverage experience is required. Experience with brands – Hilton, Marriott, Choice, IHG preferred; independent boutique hotel experience preferred.

• Multiple years of hospitality experience in a full-service leadership position.

• A passion for high-touch service-oriented operations in the Rooms and F&B Divisions.

• Ability to creatively lead and build service-minded teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proven leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility to work various schedules based on business demands.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S., pass background screening and references checks, and willing to relocate.

Description of Pay and Benefits

• Starting salary of $115,000 plus lucrative bonus program; salary commensurate with experience.

• Paid vacation and sick time.
