US Coast Guard Nonappropriated Funds - NAF Cashier (Intermittent) in Kodiak, Alaska
[Location: MWR USCG Billiken Theater
Responsible for stocking and maintaining displays for merchandise, making popcorn, selling tickets, popcorn, candy, and beverages, keeping concession and lobby area tidy and clean, balance a Daily Cash Report (DCR) and investigate any discrepancies. Other related duties
[Receives cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards and gift cards in payment for merchandise and gives change accurately in the operation of cash register; Maintains record of sales, at the end of shift balances till, turns in sales records, money, stamps, customer checks or charge slip and accounts for all monies and items sold.
[Provides information concerning availability of goods sold, prices, and condition of merchandise, keeps records of customer traffic during the day, and identifies slow- or fast-moving items and trends in customer comments or complaints; Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge and help with the selection of merchandise. React to all concerns of customers quickly with a sense of importance.

- Potential to operate a cash register which is shown by the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide as evidenced by high school course work, a GED or high school diploma.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

- Selectee will be required to participate in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer as the Standard method of payment for payroll and travel purposes.
