Salary Midpoint Range:   $90K

Job Description: SimIS, Inc. has been awarded a contract to support the United States Marine Corps that must be filled within 30-45 days. USMC requires The specialist will support the M&S Government lead in building an M&S capability within the exercise program that is able to leverage existing infrastructure in order to build a library of simulated environments and vignettes that are compatible with existing infrastructure and systems, and train select personnel to be employed in the exercise. The existing exercise area of operations physical environment will be modeled in order to build simulations that drive live responses, partially mitigating the extensive costs associated with staging live collection environments, and the limitations associated with conducting live air to ground fires. The specialist will train select government personnel to be build, manage and execute M&S vignettes during the execution of training and exercises.

Duty Requirements:

  • Provide technical review and identify courses of action for simulations integration into component exercise program.

  • Analyze current and historical data to identify class trends for use during advanced planning and execution planning.

  • Conduct detailed planning and coordination with higher and adjacent elements, along with integration with exercise program operations and intelligence scripters.

  • The M&S Specialist will build realistic models reflective of theater strategic and operational environments that support training to enable live, virtual, constructive, and synthetic environments.

  • Review, analyze and report material concerns from data retrieved from classified and unclassified data sources.

  • Research, identify, and validate authoritative information sources to support documented and validated program requirements.

  • Draft and present technical papers and briefings.

      Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ validated work experience in planning, development and execution of DVTE or M&S based military training within a Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) accredited or service-level exercise program.

  • 1-year prior military service as a M&S Officer or Specialist (E-7 to E-9 or O-3 to O-6)

  • Accredited formal education, certificate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in modeling and simulation (M&S) or Digital Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) systems, theory and application desired.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task.

  • SECRET clearance verified in DISS

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of SOF capabilities, support, and operations.

    Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required/Desired:

  • Knowledge of cloud service issues related to data management techniques and processes, including data collection, data validation, and data storage.

  • Knowledge in database compliance for registration in the Department of Navy Application and Database Management System (DADMS).

  • Knowledge applying Federal and Department of Defense cyber compliance governance to traditional and cloud-based database systems

  • Knowledge in developing and maintaining client/servicer databases.
