Summary

This role supports an enterprise-wide global security program. This role is responsible for centrally managing physical security technology, partnering with third-party security vendors, and maintaining program frameworks and governance. This individual is a strong project manager capable of developing and maintaining scalable security solutions that align with Global Security strategy and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

50% - Program Administration:

  1. Standardize, optimize, and automate security processes and technologies that protect people, facilities, and business reputation.

  2. Create a workplace violence prevention framework, in consultation with third-party security partners, that governs intake, assessment, and response to workplace violence concerns.

  3. Design governance that specifically defines scope for the protection of executives, the Board of Directors, and special events.

  4. Maintain a platform that supports cross-functional crisis management, allows for standardized reporting, and enables the rapid assessment of threats or concerns.

  5. Partner with Legal, Corporate Communications, and Enterprise Risk Management to develop a crisis management protocol that clarifies processes, roles, and escalation protocols.

  6. Develop policies and guidelines that govern Global Security programs and deliverables.

20% - Technology Solutions:

  1. Implement and maintain standardized video management and access control technology that supports the enterprise globally.

  2. Identify a visitor management solution that is scalable and centrally managed.

  3. Integrate a travel risk management platform with an existing corporate travel program.

  4. Explore automation overlays and other emerging technology that can integrate with existing access control and video management infrastructure.

  5. Investigate opportunities to collaborate with Cyber Security to integrate physical identity management with logical identity management.

20% - Security Awareness and Education:

  1. Promote security awareness through education, exercises, and strategic communications in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

  2. Design table-top or scenario-based engagements to be delivered by third-party security partners, Global Security colleagues, or internal CHS security champions.

  3. Advocate for Global Security by integrating strategic initiatives into corporate content shared online, via email, or in print.

10% - Budget Management:

  1. Work with third-party security partners to manage contract deliverables and project budgets throughout the fiscal year.

  2. Anticipate future budgetary needs and articulate the need for proposed funding when measured against competing priorities.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

Professional certification related to project management, change management, or program administration.

5 years experience managing risk, security, access, or compliance in a corporate environment.

Familiarity with industry best practices and knowledge of security metrics and trends that measure performance and define success.

Service-oriented and customer-driven approach to problem solving combined with excellent organizational skills and judgment.

Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively internally and externally.

Superior analytical, evaluative, prioritization and problem-solving skills.

The ability to gather, critically evaluate, and present information in an organized manner.

Strong written and oral communication skills to present content effectively at all levels.

Willingness to challenge status quo and introduce new ideas that align with company culture and mission.

History of demonstrating integrity, credibility, objectivity, and respect across all parts of a global organization.

Additional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or other related professional security designation

Project Management certification or related designation.

8 years experience managing risk, security, access, or compliance in a corporate environment.

5 years experience centrally administering an enterprise access control and video management platform (for example, AMAG, Lenel, Genetec, Milestone).

3 years experience managing complex projects and associated budgets.

Understanding of travel security management platforms and integrations (International SOS)

Awareness of visitor management solutions leveraged by Fortune 500 organizations.

Comfort navigating a large, global, Fortune 500 organization.

Understanding of different practices and standards across geographies and cultures.

Experiencing designing, supporting, or working within a security operations center (SOC/GSOC), command Center, fusion center, or similar function providing 24/7 monitoring and crisis support.

Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, procedures, or governance related to energy infrastructure, shipping environments, chemical/fuel transport, and/or OTR ground transportation.

Knowledge of physical security principles and industry best practices.

Knowledge of technical solutions commonly leveraged by global corporate security functions.

Skill in determining how access control, video management, and visitor management systems should work (including resilience and dependability).

Skill in distilling large amounts of information down to a brief executive summary.

Skill in strategically prioritizing time and resources based on project needs, business needs, or safety/security needs.

Ability to stay organized while managing multiple complex projects.

Ability to track vendor performance and maintain accountability for contractual deliverables.

Ability to decide “how” a task should be completed after learning “why” it needs to be completed.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
