Facilities Technician 1st or 3rd Shift
Job Description
Seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our maintenance team, focusing on the 1st or 3rd shift schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on repair and maintenance work on a variety of systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation, card access, doors and gates, building envelope, grounds and parking lots, as well as interior finish and lighting systems. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and repair service work on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems to ensure peak operational condition. The technician will identify energy savings opportunities and implement system and operational changes to reduce energy consumption. The role requires the ability to independently plan work assignments, execute duties with minimal supervision, and assist in other trades as well as general maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds.
Hard Skills
Basic electrical troubleshooting (low voltage, single & 3 phase electrical systems)
HVAC routine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
Dock Equipment – dock doors, levelers, restraint systems
Routine small-scale plumbing, electrical and mechanical, carpentry skills
Knowledge of the safe and proper use of ladders, lifts, basic hand tools, voltmeter, manual drain auger, safety goggles, ear protection, and fire extinguishers
Soft Skills

Work Environment
The candidate must be committed to working in a collaborative and quality-focused environment. Daily interaction with teams in person, over the phone, and via email is required to perform the job effectively. The position is for either a 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm or 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
