Aerotek Logistic Coordinator in Hagerstown, Maryland

Receiving material, issuing material, inventory, running material to back shop, cycle counting. Issues material to kits as required. Uses Costpoint system to document all inventory transactions. Uses Microsoft Word for various reports.

Our client is hiring 2 Material Handlers to work in the backshop. Employee will be support the SMM, Machine shop, or AV shop leads can make sure to have all of the work cued up. The leads will make sure that the Material people will have all of the material and work orders from the leads. The expectation will be to pull, cut and make sure the work package is completed and it's in the staging are for the backshop employees. The goal of these openings are so that the backshop folks will just focus on making/fabricating the parts and the materials team will focus on getting it set up. In addition to cutting material, they will issue the material and stocking the material, pulling it and transferring from inventory locations to the backshop.

Tools they will use: basic hand tools like shears. NO heavy machinery will be used. If they will be cutting material, they will use a table saw or band saw. On the SMM metal side, they could be using the shear.

If materials is all done for the day, with cutting and staging the material they will be required to help with the kitting or helping the team with cycle counting.
