This is a job for a Track Laborer position with a company located in Gulfport, MS.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Safely maintain the physical railway track within a specific territory in accordance with guidelines set forth by the FRA and CPKC.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: Track maintenance and renewal work (working outdoors, in all weather conditions). Use of hand tools and small machines, operating track renewal equipment. Standing, lifting, squatting for long periods and the ability to lift 50lbs or greater.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Mechanical aptitude. Reliable transportation to and from work site, and a valid driver's license. Ability to perform physically work outdoors in all types of weather. Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations, performing tasks in accordance with those rules. 18 years of age or older. High School diploma or GED. CDL license or ability to obtainone (CPKC will help cover the associated costs).

Medical Requirements: CPKC is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the general public. Qualification drug test(s) are also required.

Background Investigation: The successful candidate will need pass the following clearances: Criminal history check. Last 7 Years employment history. Driver's License Verification. Last 3 years of driving history. Social Security number verification.
