What you will do

As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible to solve real world engineering problems involving the design, testing and manufacturing of CAB Vehicle Front parts and systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Headlamps and Lighting systems, Grilles, Hoods, Bumpers, and mounting elements. You will provide design solutions/strategies through a cross-functional network of people.

Share knowledge and develop competence within the team. Develop and manage a network across the organization and provide inputs to the project pre-requisites based on component history.

You will…

• Own the complete deliveries in Quality, Delivery, Cost & Features

• Life cycle responsibility for various Vehicle Front components or systems including concept, detailed Engineering design, maintenance and administration

• Cross-functional coordination with counterparts in other departments and/or suppliers to facilitate and meet project deliveries

• Proactively work to maintain or improve product quality performance

• Accuracy and accountability within the area of assignment

Your future team

Our team, Cab Engineering, is a part of Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), a division of Volvo Group North America. GTT provides state-of-the-art research, engineering, product planning and project execution to final delivery of complete products and support theproducts in the aftermarket.

Cab Engineering North America has the responsibility for delivering Cab Projects, Cab Architecture solutions and Cab Features for the Mack Truck and Volvo Truck brands. We develop new and advanced cab solutions for our future trucks while continually adapting ourcurrent products to new and different market and customer demands. Working in an international environment is an exciting challenge that we have an opportunity to experience daily!

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a related field.

• 6+ years of experience in engineering project management.

• Experience in product development, preferable in automotive

• Experience in plastic and sheet metal Engineering, from design criteria to tooling characteristics

• Knowledge on quality tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, etc.

• Experience in Catia V5 and PDM systems
