Responsibilities You will provide program support for the Life Cycle Sustainment Manager and the Satellite Deployable Node Project Manager by acting as a Subject Matter Expert as it relates to the United States Special Operations Command solutions. You will represent the customer support office in performing the project planning for the installation and implementation of new systems. You will develop service level agreements (SLAs) that define requirements/expectations for the delivery of customer support services and implements performance criteria to ensure that requirements are achieved. You will diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported incidents. You will research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements. You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain customer hardware and software. You will perform a variety of functions on a wide range of IM and IT issues. You will execute customer support policies, procedures, and standards. You will be responsible for the fielding of Special Operations Forces (SOF) communications Satellite Communication (SATCOM) antennas, network architectures, video, IP acceleration. You will monitor/maintain on-line operational visibility and reliability of extremely complex communication systems and equipment including: VSAT SATCOM antenna systems; and SOF Information Enterprise (SIE) IP baseband equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In Addition: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or NO-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: customer support services, including configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, installations, and/or training, in response to customer requirement. Examples: conduct analysis and recommend resolution to problems and issues; and assist in developing requirements and managing expectations for the delivery of customer support services. Education To qualify via education: NO-04: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
