Farmingdale State College Distance Learning Support Administrator in Farmingdale, New York

The Office of Distance Learning is looking for a Distance Learning Support Administrator. The selected candidate will:

  • Maintain office records, files, and documents related to specific projects.

  • Direct phone calls and answer routine inquiries for the distance learning office.

  • Coordinate and arrange meetings for the director and department.

  • Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence.

  • Maintain a calendar and schedule appointments.

  • Plan meetings and take detailed minutes.

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of the budget.

  • Handle purchasing requisitions.

  • Make travel arrangements.

  • Complete student employee hiring paperwork, assist with student support management.

  • Assist in data entry and form development to help track departmental data/information, such as UP8 contracts, staff renewal forms, and DL course data.

  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree awarded by May 2024.

  • Knowledge of computer software programs (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Two years of responsible work experience.

  • A willingness to learn new computer programs.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with faculty and students.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Certified as a Notary Public in New York.

  • Graduate of Farmingdale State College.

    Additional Information:

This is a full-time UUP position.

  • For the first 10 working days, beginning Thursday, April 18, 2024, and ending Wednesday, May 1, 2024, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.

  • CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Friday, May 17, 2024

  • SALARY: $50,000+ $3,087 in downstate location pay = $53,087 Total Compensation.
