Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Delavan, MN. From 04/01/2024 to 12/31/2024 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime in MN only, after 48 hours of work as required by MN state law ($27.75). Effective Jan 1, 2024 per MN State Statute, employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) a year. Must Apply By: 08/17/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season of corn and soybeans. Employees will need to assist with planting, spraying and harvesting of crops and delivering seed. Employees will also need to assist with cattle during the summer months by moving cattle to pastures. In the spring employees will need to assist with calving. After cattle are returned to pastures, no further care or assistance is needed. Employees will be mowing and baling hay. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, sprayers, manure spreaders, operate other farm equipment, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, attach equipment extensions or accessories, load crops and unload crops, drive farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps, drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals, feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies, operate farming equipment, transport animals, crops, or equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer s discretion. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures, with extensive sitting or walking. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular Class D driver's license. Requires 3 months farm experience. No HS Diploma / GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
