AtWork/Decatur is looking for an experiencedInterior Assemblerfor a company in Madison, AL. This is a temp to hire position. The ideal candidate will have experience with cabinet making, fine trim work, solid construction wood working experience.

Responsibilities:

-Starting pay is $18.00 could be greater with verifiable experience - Assemble automotive components according to blueprints and specifications - Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly - Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues - Perform machining tasks such as welding and fabrication - Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise assembly, MUST be able to read a tape measure. - Safely operate power tools and equipment for assembly tasks

-Carpentry related tasks a plus, cabinet installers, trim work anything to do with precise measurements is a PLUS.

-Will need to have your own tools, wrenches, sockets, pliers, channel locks, side cutters and tape measure.

Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, Saturdays as needed.

Experience: -MUST be able to read a tape measure, will be tested -Must be able to look at an area and access what needs to be done to outfit the cabinets, tables, etc. - Previous experience in automotive restoration/production or carpentry assembly preferred - Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation - Mechanical knowledge and understanding of assembly processes - Experience operating a forklift and other machinery - Familiarity with machining processes such as welding and fabrication - Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools accurately - Competence in using power tools for assembly tasks
