Serta Simmons Bedding is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Greene, NY.

As the leading provider of sleep products in North America, we're dedicated to delivering quality mattresses and fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

How You'll Do It:

  • Foster a safety culture and ensure compliance with company safety program and OSHA regulations to prevent work-related injuries.

  • Collaborate with Operations Manager and Kaizen Promotion Officer (KPO) to report and investigate work-related accidents or sabotage involving machinery, equipment, and tools.

  • Supervise daily maintenance activities for the assigned plant, including equipment, tools, facilities (fire protection systems/security), and grounds, while controlling maintenance and labor costs.

  • Design, implement, and oversee a preventive/predictive maintenance program for all mechanical equipment and tools.

  • Manage installation, maintenance, repair, adjustment, troubleshooting, and inspection of equipment and tools.

  • Assess the need for tools, equipment, and supplies, and ensure completion of work meets specifications and standards.

  • Develop or revise work procedures to meet production schedules.

  • Provide initial and ongoing maintenance training and evaluation to production associates and relevant plant personnel.

  • Identify and implement systems and procedures to enhance operations.

  • Recommend and implement new programs as required.

  • Monitor and manage Maintenance KPIs, including OEE, work order completion percentage, PM completion percentage, machine downtime, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and uphold SSB Mission and Core Values.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, and managing highly technical mechanics.

  • 5+ years of experience in Safety and Risk programs, with Lean/Six Sigma Manufacturing experience (green belt preferred).

  • Electrical Certification is a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

  • Skilled in problem identification and resolution.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work independently.

  • Familiarity with Federal, State, and Local health and safety regulations.

  • Proficient in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.

Work Environment:

  • Work involves exposure to typical hazards found in manufacturing environments, occasionally requiring lifting of heavy and bulky products.

  • Primarily sedentary work with frequent walking in manufacturing plants and warehouse distribution environments.

  • Up to 10% travel may be required.

Pay Range: $86,000 - $125,000

The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
