We are currently recruiting for a Benefits Specialist to join our team in Columbia, MD. As a Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the communication and administration of our benefit programs (medical, dental, life, disability, retirement, leaves, etc.).

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate communication with employees, Benefits & HR Team members, vendors, Finance and Payroll Team members, and other stakeholders regarding benefit-related requirements. The Benefits Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for employees when it comes to benefits related questions. You will be a part of a dynamic and supportive team of HR professionals who work collaboratively to meet the demanding needs of our growing company.

As the benefits team’s primary point of contact, you’ll provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries. You’ll handle benefit-related questions, ensuring courteous resolution and escalating unusual situations to the Benefits Manager. Additionally, you’ll process health and welfare benefit plan enrollments, maintain employee data, coordinate leaves, and assist with open enrollment and other key benefit events.

What you'll need to succeed in this role:

· 5+ years of experience supporting benefit coordination/administration

· Experience with data entry and use of technology/systems (Workday preferred)

· Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines and priorities

· Detail-oriented with strong customer services skills and ability to keep utmost confidentiality.

· Ability to perform high volume work timely and accurately.

· Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities.

· Proficient use of MS Office products

· Ability to work independently and within a team environment

· Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a definite plus
