Responsibilities

Full Time Dietary Aide and Transportation Provider.

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is looking for an in house transporation provider to transport primarily for our Female Population. The Qualified applicant should be available to transport patients as needed during regular buisness hours on average. Some transporation outside of regular buisness hours may be required at times.

The qualified candidate must also be willing to cross train in our dietary department to serve our patinets in that capacity when transport needs are not required.

This is a full time position.

    Qualifications

    Transportation Requirements:

    Must have a clean driving record.

    Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

  • Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the performance

  • Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and and routine maintenance as required or necessary .

  • Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.

  • Performs routine inspections of vehicles and reports back to facilities director all findings.

  • Knowledgeable of safety measures/devices used on behavioral health transportation vehicles.

  • Ability to do work on his/her own with only normal supervision.

  • A working knowledge of transportation safety, safety equipment, and emergency tactics.

  • A thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment as required to perform routine maintenance.

  • Knowledge and observance of safety precautions facility wide.

  • Advanced knowledge of vehicle operations and .

    Dietary Aide Requirements:

    Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

    1.Prepares food trays for general and therapeutic diets.

    2.Prepares and delivers items as requested by patient care units or patients.

    3.Maintains trayline in a clean, neat and organized manner.

    4.Prepares special diet foods as necessary.

    5.Delivers food carts to patient care units. Returns carts to kitchen at designated times.

    6.Loads and oversees dishwashers.

    7.Washes specified items by hand, i.e., pots, pans, knives.

    8.Disposes of trash and garbage in appropriate manner and as needed.

    9.Puts clean dishes and utensils away.

    10.Mops floors as scheduled and as necessary.

    11.Cleans walk-in refrigerators and storage areas.

    12.Assists in preparing salads, desserts and nourishments.

    13.Performs special cleaning duties as assigned by the Nutritional Services Director/ Supervisor.

    14Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.

    15.Treats patients and families with respect and dignity.

    16.Observes infection control practices at all times.

    17.Participates in departmental performance improvement activities.

    18.Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
