Advertised Job Summary:

The Instructor of Music Theory for the School of Music will teach music theory courses at the 100–500 levels. Supervise graduate teaching assistants who teach 100–200 level core music theory courses. Develop new courses as needed. Some administrative duties for the theory area may be required. There are no research expectations. This is a 9-month appointment, renewable based on Dean’s approval, satisfactory performance, departmental needs, and the availability of funding

Advertised Minimum Qualifications :

Candidates must have completed an MM in music theory or composition and have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience at the university level.
