The role coordinates the filing of sales and use tax returns, assists with the federal and state tax return preparation, maintains the fixed asset database and assists with the transfer pricing computations and documentation. In this role you will: Sales and Use Tax Compliance * Coordinate and document the filing of state and city sales and use tax returns. Retrieve data from SAP and Vertex, and manipulate the data to upload to third-party sales tax return preparer module. * Work with third-party tax return preparer to file returns on a timely basis. Complete account reconciliations for sales and use tax accounts. * Analyze and prepare refund claims for applicable state and local jurisdictions. Use Tax * Collaborate with procurement colleagues and other business owners to ensure Entegris accrues and pays appropriate use tax on procured materials and supplies. * Prepare exemption certificates for Entegris vendors as applicable. * Work with the tax department to ensure proper application of sales tax laws and regulations and develop expertise in sales and use tax matters. Property Tax * Gather and analyze property tax information utilized by third-party consulting firm to prepare applicable property tax returns. Federal and State Tax Filings * Assist with the preparation of the US federal consolidated return, state income tax returns, and other components of the tax return as directed. * Prepare quarterly federal and state estimates and extension payments. Income Tax Provision * Assist with various components of the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision process as directed. Acquisition Integration * Serve as a key facilitator for integrating the sales tax processes of acquired entities and reducing duplicative efforts as quickly as possible to realize forecasted synergies. Research * Perform ad hoc research regarding the application of tax laws and regulations to past, current, and proposed activities and factual situations. * Work cross-functionally with departments such as Procurement, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable to resolve various issues as they arise and resolve them promptly. Notices, Audits, and Controversy * Respond effectively to tax notices received from state and city government agencies. * Compile information in response to inquiries from tax authorities.
