As the Senior Safety Coordinator, you will work with multiple disciplines and collaborate across the organization to integrate EHS programs at our facility in Centralia, WA. As we develop new products you will support the EHS Lead in leading job hazard analysis to reduce operational risks, help develop and integrate EHS trainings for operations, and be one of the site's points of contact to engage state/government regulators. The successful candidate will have a self-starting attitude and desire to learn everything about the systems under development. Position Responsibilities Enforce safety-centric policies. When site activities are starting or engineers are going out of the main office: Make sure Field Level Hazard Assessment forms are filled in correctly. Make sure Lock Out Tag Out permits or any forms regarding safety-centric policies are correctly filled in. Carry random inspections of the Field Level Hazard Assessment forms on engineers on site. Support onsite Office Manager with collecting the forms at the end of the day. Support with Work Order execution, making sure that if lifting plans are presented, the equipment is ready, staged, inspected, and the lifting plan is being followed. MSHA Training Support the HSE Lead with Mine Site Health Administration (MSHA) training Make sure documents that need to be in physical form on site are organized correctly and stored properly Support onsite Office Manager with documentation uploading and ensure access to all documentation uploaded digitally on a daily basis Proving Grounds Task Training Support HSE Lead with on-site task training as need Emergency Response Plan: Support drill implementation Safety Inspections Carry on with daily and monthly safety inspections to assess the physical conditions of the equipment, machinery, structures and work areas onsite. Document all findings. Engage in safety observations and actively observe work practices and behaviors. Identify any hazards or near misses onsite and fill in the respective forms and report the HSE Lead. Support the HSE Lead with the execution of action plan in case any hazards were identified Carry on random work space inspections to make sure that the site is under MSHA compliance and people are working in a safe manner. Inspect lifting and rigging equipment Safety Equipment Support Warehouse Manager with safety equipment inventory and storage Work together with Warehouse Manager to procure the needed safety equipment Oversee PPE inspections, as well as, emergency response equipment Operations Support the site activities whenever needed by owning activities including: Spotting Escorting Task Training Basic Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to a broad and diverse audience. Well-developed influence skills, including the ability to engage people and generate support for EHS programs. Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Confluence, JIRA Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety or related field working with chemical processing, stationary storage battery systems, mining or other high-hazard environments.
