Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the PO Tracking Manager is to develop and coach a team of direct and indirect reports, with open communication, continual training, and development opportunities. This person will monitor each team member’s workload ensuring work is being done according to company standards while working to improve the total team’s performance.
Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage a team of direct and indirect reports to handle and problem solve transportation and logistics related questions from merchant partners as well as vendor community.

  • Lead the team in tracking the flow and on time receipt of incoming purchase orders.

  • Partner with cross functional support teams throughout the company to improve processes and increase efficiencies.

  • Support an environment that fosters open and positive team communication by hosting team meetings, one on one touch bases and other related formal and informal methods of communication.

  • Manage the flow of day-to-day operations.

  • Update and create SOPs as needed with training in place for any changes to processes.

  • Collect, analyze, and monitor data to identify gaps and opportunities for improving our overall on time delivery. Collaborate with team to action on improvement plan.

  • Research, develop, and manage projects, including but not limited to reporting, presenting results, and devising recommendations for change in processes and procedures.

  • Document operational tasks and reporting to upper-level management.

  • Work collaboratively with other managers to ensure consistent communication within the team as well as with both internal and external partners.

  • Improve and expand on current new hire onboarding and training programs.

  • Manage project teams to develop, execute and complete assignments.

  • Provide continuous support to direct and indirect reports through coaching in the moment and training opportunities.

  • Addresses vendor related issues with a strong sense of urgency and works towards quick resolution.

  • Prepare team for weekly meetings and be able to talk about the business.

  • Determine improvement and optimization areas and design action plans.

  • Ensure effective communication between team, vendors, and buyers.

  • Host meetings, as needed, for all levels of the company regarding projects and updates happening within the PO Tracking department.

  • Participate in virtual and in person meetings with vendors and cross functional partners, attend trade shows, visit vendors at LA or NY market, and represents Burlington at various industry events.

  • Lead with collaboration, a growth attitude, be data driven and remain focused on key priorities.

  • Any other responsibilities that management deems essential.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • General retail merchandising and/or supply chain knowledge required.

  • Minimum 5 years managing teams in Logistics, Supply Chain or Retail Operations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to coach and manage a team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and conceptual ability.

  • Strategic and critical thinking.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced work environment and adapt to an ever-changing environment.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in MS Office Suite
