If you enjoy being physically active and helping others, this may be a good fit for you! The Material Handler I position will assist Materials Management in daily operations. Although two days will rarely be the same, common responsibilities and duties are as follows:

  • Deliver packages and surplus items to faculty, staff, departments, and students

  • Pick-up packages and surplus items

  • Process inbound and outgoing packages; sort, label, and load for delivery

  • Greet and assist visitors to Shipping & Receiving and Surplus

  • Prepare surplus items for auction; create auction listings

  • Ensure packages are labeled and delivered properly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Customer-service oriented with a genuine care to help others

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve

  • Tow-motor experience preferred, but will train

  • Comfortable driving pick-up trucks and box trucks

  • Flexibility in work assignments and schedule

    Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly

    Additional Information:

Salary: $13.50/hr
