Who you are:

We are currently seeking motivated individuals for a full time CAD Designer career in Alpena. Candidates with the following skills, knowledge, experience and competency would have an advantage in our hiring process:

  • Mechanical design.
  • Experience in the metal manufacturing industry would also be considered.
  • Solid Works is a "must know" platform.
  • Microsoft Word, and Excel experience that includes formulas and formatting.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.

What you will do:

Responsible for aiding in designs and production work. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Create approval drawings for standard products.
  • Process drawings and bills of materials for standard products.
  • Work closely with CAD Detailers on projects.
  • Perform design layouts and drafting on CAD systems as needed.
  • Select and specify purchased parts and materials as needed.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to identify and resolve design issues via various troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Aid in the design of and produce necessary drawings to manufacture standard conveying equipment and/or modified equipment in accordance with customer's specific needs. Support Product Managers and manufacturing with problems that relate to design, bills of material, or quality concerns. This would include any engineered product from concept to production implementation and the shipment of such product.
